The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board’s 2015-2025 capital plan has been approved.
The new school coming to Sioux Lookout is definitely on the document along with some other goodies for the region listed below.
– Major 4.36 million dollar renovation of Ear Falls Public School (2021)
– 11.25 million dollar renovation of southwest portion of Dryden High School (2022)
– 8.55 million dollars for renovations and right-sizing of Ignace School (2023)
– Natural gas HVAC phased renovation at Red Lake District High School (2017)
– 6.12 million across the system for general roofing renovations (2016-2019)
The main priority in the document is a replacement for Valleyview Public School in Kenora with the cost of 14 million dollars.
Monteith says they chose that school because of the age, condition and growing enrollment at the school.
