KPDSB Capital Projects Will Continue Despite Provincial Government Cuts

A 4.4-million dollar rebuild of Ear Falls Public School will go ahead as planned as well as other capital projects scheduled for the upcoming school year.

This despite a provincial government decision to scrap a 100-million dollar school renewal fund.

Sean Monteith is the Director of Education for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and he says other work will move forward which includes their lighting project that they have planned for schools across the board.

Monteith notes they are losing about a half-million dollars with the cancellation of the Energy Reduction Fund.
