The director of education with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board admits he’s frustrated by
how long it’s taking to settle a contract with their elementary teachers.
Today the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario is ramping up it’s job action by withdrawing from
voluntary extra-curricular activities.
Sean Monteith doesn’t expect that will have any impact on what’s going on in the classrooms overall.
Monteith suggests that if they were able to handle the negotiations at the local level, they might have
had more success by now.
