Now that Kenora City Council has voted in favour of the
Ontario Provincial Police, the decision will go before the
Ontario Civilian Commission on policing.
A hearing will be held in the coming months.
The special meeting of council on Friday drew a large
crowd, most in favour of the Kenora Police force.
Bob McMillan was one of the lone supporters of the OPP’s
bid, and says the City would have been fools to turn down
saving money.
