L-C-B-O Strike Threat Very Real

The threat of a strike by Liquor Control Board workers this weekend remains real.
Union spokesperson Robert Lorkowski says the issue centres around the ever increasing use of part time workers.
Lorkowski says out of the province’s total LCBO workforce of 7,000 about 4,000 are part time.
He says those employees make roughly $26,000 a year and are working 6 to 7 days.
The strike deadline is Friday.
If there is a walkout, it would be the first strike in the 87-year history of the L-C-B-O.
Management is advising people to stock up before the long weekend.
