Lac Seul First Nation Chief Clifford Bull is looking for answers.
Bull says it took CN Rail two days to notify his community about a train derailment.
The incident happened last Saturday, about 16-kilometres away from Lac Seul.
Bull says he didn’t know that the rail cars weren’t carrying hazardous material.
He’s hoping to arrange a meeting with CN to discuss a communication protocol with the First Nation.
