Lake of the Woods Control Board decreasing outflow

Recent dry weather has dropped inflows into Lake of the Woods and Lac Seul.

As a result, the Lake of the Woods Control Board is decreasing outflow from both those lakes.

Outflow from Lac Seul is being lowered today, and the lake level is expected to increase anywhere from 12 to 16 inches as a result.

Over on Lake of the Woods, outflow will be decreased on Friday.

That will push water levels up 3 to 6 centimeters, but drop them by 13 centimeters below the Norman Dam and 8 centimeters at the Dalles.
