Thunder Bay Mayor Keith Hobbs wants to meet with his counterpart in Toronto to talk about streetcars made in Northwestern Ontario.
Hobbs is worried about Rob Ford’s plan to kill a deal with Bombardier.
But Paul Pugh, the local Thunder Bay CAW president, doesn’t want to meet with Ford saying it would be a waste of time.
Pugh says even the CAW, which makes cars, doesn’t think it’s a good idea to kill the streetcar deal.
