Two Thunder Bay women named by Mexican officials as suspects in the
grisly slayings of Dominic and Nancy Ianiero are asking Prime Minister
Stephen Harper to help clear their names.
Cheryl Everall and Kimberly Kim have asked Harper to renegotiate the
protocols under the mutual legal assistance treaty.
Everall said such intervention would allow Canadian officials to
investigate on Mexican soil, should they deem it necessary.
The women also want the federal government to issue an advisory warning
Canadians it’s not safe to travel to Cancun and the Mayan Riviera.
