The Dryden Ice Dogs coughed up a late two goal lead, losing 4-3 in overtime to the Fort Frances Lakers.
Robert Kopytek played well in net but suffered the loss.
Kopytek stressed his team came flying out of the gate and controlled the first period.
Dryden was up 2-0 after 20-minutes.
He says a poor final 10-minutes was the difference.
Kopytek notes they played well and believes they are ready for the playoffs.
He finished with 27-saves.
Derek McPhail, Tyson Holder and Mike Butler found the back of the net for Dryden.
Dryden has dropped 7 in a row against the streaking Lakers, who have won their last 11.
The two teams are likely to meet in the second round of the playoffs.
This was the final regular season game for the Ice Dogs, who are expected to begin the playoffs on March 22nd.
