Land Ambulence-funding

A decision by the provincial government to increase funding for land ambulence service is getting kudos from the Kenora District Services board.

Premier Dalton Mcguinty promised to increase the provincial share of the funding for land ambulence service to 50 percent.

Sten Lif is the Chief Administrative Officer of the District Services board and says the funding is long overdue.

Lif says they currently pay about 65 percent of the 8 million dollar land ambulence budget in the Kenora District and any funding from the province will make a big difference in their bottom line.
