Landsdowne House Worried About Poor Water Quality

A health crisis on the Neskantaga First Nation is renewing calls to bring health care services to remote northern communities.

Chief Wayne Moonias says children are getting sores and people are getting sick, because of contaminated water and nearly no access to doctors.

He says each household lives off only three bottles of water per day.

Moonias says they’re urging candidates to have the political will to end an over 20-year boil-water advisory.

Moonias and Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day are in Toronto Monday, to call for public-health services that are comparable to the rest of Canada.
