Large Fire Under Control

The Ministry of Natural Resources says Nipigon Fire #20 is finally
under control, after burning over 14,000 hectares of forest over the
past 2-weeks.
The MNR says the fire is no longer growing and crews are currently
trying to mop up any hot spots.
Almost 380-fire fighters remain in the Nipigon area working on the
blaze.
Meanwhile, the fire hazard in the Northwest is low due to all the rain over the past week.
