Layoff Announcement in Fort Frances

Fort Frances is the latest community to be hit hard by the downturn in the forest industry.
Abitibi-Bowater has announced that its halting production at its commercial printing paper plant.
A total of 75-employees will be impacted.
The move is effective October 31st.
It is one of four operations across the country to be shutdown.
