The leader of the federal NDP says the wage gap between the rich and poor in northern Ontario is widening and he wants the Harper government to do something to address the situation.
Jack Layton is visiting the Kenora riding today and says
the federal government’s tax cuts haven’t helped resource based communities in the Kenora Riding.

Layton is meeting with municipal, business, labor and aboriginal leaders while in Kenora today.
He also will be the guest speaker at a fund-raising dinner for New Democrat candidiate Tania Cameron this evening.
