It appears the cash-strapped Royal Canadian Legion will receive some
financial assistance from the City of Dryden.
The Legion’s request for tax relief has been turned down because it
doesn’t meet certain requirements under the Municipal Act, however Council
appears ready to provide a grant of just over $2,000.
Branch 63 President Eric Parker says the Government has tied their
hands.
