Legislation For Return Of Spring Hunt Moving Ahead

Proposed legislation, calling for a permanent return to the spring bear in Ontario, has moved to the committee level.
Second reading of Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro’s private members bill has passed in the legislature.
Debate at the committee level will take place sometime in the new year.
The purpose of the bill aims to reduce the number of aggressive bear attacks.
