The Liberal government is promising to reverse a decision to end door-to-door mail delivery.
Kenora riding candidate Bob Nault says the current plan needs to be fixed as they need a better strategy to help seniors and those with mobility issues.
He says they need better service for Canadians, not less.
Nault says Canada Post is making a profit and there’s no reason for announced cuts to continue.
Meantime, there is speculation the election writ will be dropped sometime in August.
Nault says the Harper Conservatives seem to think a long election campaign will help them, noting the public doesn’t want a long and costly campaign.
Nault says he’s ready to go with one campaign office already open in Kenora and another set to open in Dryden in the next few weeks.
