Liberal MPP Promoting Ontario Budget

Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro says the government’s latest budget may not specifically target the Ring of Fire, but it does address some mining industry needs.
The Liberal member sites the continuation of the northern electricity rate program.
Several northerners are upset that the budget didn’t specifically target the mining industry and job skills training.
Mauro is also touting the $100-million infrastructure fund for rural and northern municipalities.
He adds the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund will be kept at $100-million for the next year.
