The Provincial Government is vowing to spend a million dollars a year on the new Ontario Wood Promotion program.
The initiative will help strengthen and grow the value-added wood products market in the North.
Minister of Natural Resources David Ramsay says the funding will also go towards research and training.
Lakehead University and Confederation College will share $180,000 a year over 4-years to offer the course.
