The Ontario Liberal Party has revealed the voting system it will follow in electing a new leader.
It has decided to use ranked ballots.
The Ontario Liberal Party agreed to the change at their annual meeting on the weekend.
Under the system, each constituency association will get 100 points to allocate to the candidates based on the support received.
Interim Leader John Fraser says it gives members a more direct role in picking their next leader.
Young people will also have a say.
Each Ontario Young Liberal student club will receive 50 points to allocate.
There is no date for the leadership vote has been set.
There are also no formal candidates. However, several MPPs and MPs are mulling it over and could make a decision in the coming weeks.
