The Ministry of Natural Resources had to deal with 21 new fires in
Northwestern Ontario over the weekend.
Most of the activity was in the Dryden and Fort Frances Districts.
Information Officer Travis Moffat says storms that passed through the
region Friday sparked most of the wild fires.
Moffat adds that high winds didn’t help fire rangers.
The fire hazard in the region is moderate to high.
