Lightning Strikes Day Care Centre

A group of children narrowly escaped injury when their day care on the
white dog First Nation near Kenora was struck by lightning.
Staff and community members worked quickly to evacuate the building,
which caught on fire and suffered extensive damage yesterday.
The reserve doesn’t have any firefighting equipment or a volunteer
department trained for the job.
