The Federal Government has signed the final text of the
softwood lumber agreement with the United States, just in
time for the Prime Minister’s meeting with George Bush.
Ontario Forest Industry Association President Jamie Lim
says her membership is dissapointed.

Lim adds they are not pleased with the last minute
inclusion of a two year termination clause, which would
mean the States could bow out of the agreement before the
end of the seven year agreement.
