A new website looks to prepare Canadians for legalized cannabis come October.
“Cannabis & Psychosis: Explore the Link” intends to provide education on the potential link between pot and psychotic disorders.
Chris Summerville is the Chief Executive Officer of the Schizophrenia Society of Canada and he says potency levels have damaging effects on the developing brain.
Summerville notes you have a 5 to 7 greater risk of developing psychosis if you use pot.
He stresses they are targeting youth as they are at the greatest risk of mental illness.
