Dryden High School

A reminder to all students and families of the schedule change for this week to accommodate the students writing the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. On Tuesday, November 18th and Thursday, November 20th all students will attend their Period 1 class from 8:50am to 11:30am. On Wednesday, November 19th all students will attend their Period 2 class from 8:50am to 11:30am. Friday, November 21st will follow a regular schedule.
Also of note: This is Bullying Awareness & Prevention Week! Bullying prevention and intervention is about more than just eliminating bullying. Bullying prevention promotes the development of healthy relationships that involve respectful interactions between people, face-to-face and online. The goal is to help ensure that all students have healthy, safe, respectful and caring relationships with everyone in their lives.
The next ‘late start day’ for DHS students will not be until Wednesday, November 26th.
Sioux North High School

The grade 10 Literacy test continues this week for select classes. Good luck to those writing!
Coming up on Tuesday, November 18th, Warrior Junior Girls Volleyball tryouts continue from 5 until 6:30.
Also on Tuesday, November 18th the girls Warrior hockey team will be on the road to Kenora to play against St. Thomas Aquinas.
The next day – Wednesday, November 19th has the Warrior boys and girls varsity hockey teams hosting their home openers.
And on Thursday, November 20th…..Midterm report cards go home!
Red Lake District High School

The grade 10 Literacy testing continues this week. Students should remember to bring their Chromebook already charged and also bring their charger.
Congratulations to the Red Lake Rams Senior Girls Basketball Team on winning the NWOSSA “A” Championship and good luck this week in Brockville at OFSAA!
The same can be said for the Red Lake Rams Senior Boys Volleyball Team as they won their Championship on the road in Manitouwadge!
Pelican Falls First Nations High School

Senior and Junior boys basketball tryouts continue Monday, November 17th from 4:30 to 6 o’clock in the gym.
Friday, November 21st, Student At Risk Reports will be issued.
Ignace School

Students in Grades 9-12 will be participating in the Youth Nuclear Symposium Skilled Trades and Technology Days event from November 18-20. Permission forms were sent home with all students last Wednesday. If your child has not yet returned their permission form, please fill-in, sign, and return the form to the office or Mrs. Moore ASAP.
Pajama Day is happening on Tuesday, November 18th! Wear your best PJs!
Book Fair Week is next week. The book fair will be open from 4 until 7 Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. That would be the 25th and 26th.
And….Parent-Teacher interviews are coming up on Wednesday, November 26th from 3:30 to 6 o’clock.
