A major event held in Dryden and area won’t be happening in 2021.
Organizers of the Little Bands Native Youth Hockey Tournament have cancelled the February event due to COVID-19.
The tournament draws over a thousand kids, parents and fans from First Nations across northwestern Ontario each year.
Preparations are now underway for the 20th Anniversary of Little Bands.
Planners are encouraging athletes and communities to prepare, play, practice and fundraise.
