The Ministry of Transportation is spending $1.8-billion on
highway improvements in Northern Ontario.
However, the announcement contains little news for folks in this Region
as most of the projects are for the Northeast.
Thunder Bay-Superior North Liberal MPP Michael Gravelle accepts the
decision but notes more attention needs to put on area highways.
Gravelle says the Northwest needs more money to improve roads and he will continue to push for long-term funding.
He says he wants to see Highway 17 twinned down the road.
