Local Ball Player Returning To Canada To Play Ball

Dryden’s Rachele Daubney is returning to Canada to play ball.

The young athlete has spent the past two years in Williston, North Dakota playing College Softball.

Daubney has signed with the SAIT Trojans, in Calgary for 2017.

She says SAIT is an amazing school and she thinks playing in Calgary will be a great adventure.

Daubney notes the College season in Alberta is a six week one in the Fall, with roughly 40-games before Nationals, so she will have to prepare for the hectic season.

She notes it was a great playing and studying abroad as she experienced new things and gained new friendships.

Daubney stresses it’s great to come home to continue athletic and student life.

In a release, Coach George Edwards stated Daubney is a versatile player who owns a strong throwing arm, a good glove and a heavy bat.

He calls her an accomplished player who will be a great addition.
