Local Cloverbelt Working On Food Charter

A food charter is being put together by the Cloverbelt Local Food Co-op for the Kenora and Rainy River Districts.

Agricultural Coordinator Andrea Habinski says the charter will lay the framework on what the public and municipalities want to see in local food production.

The organization will be holding community input sessions in Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Kenora, Fort Frances and Emo this month.

Habinski says they want members of the public to provide feedback on a number of topics including food costs, local farming and healthy food.

She is encouraging registration in order to track numbers.
