The provincial government is out with its yearly funding envelope for northwestern Ontario hospitals.
The Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout is receiving an additional $633,000 to push its operating budget to more than $31-million.
The Dryden Regional Health Centre is getting almost $375,000 in new money to operate at roughly $18.7-million.
The Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital is welcoming an extra $129,000.
The 2017-2018 budget will now be nearly $6.5-million.
The government says the cash injection will provide faster access to health care, expand crucial services and procedures and improve the experience of patients.
The increase for northern hospitals amounts to 3.1%.
