Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty says he’s prepared to fight an election, if he has too.
The threat of another federal election looms after the Liberals announced that they will introduce a motion of non-confidence in the House of Commons in early October.
Rafferty feels an election at this time isn’t really warranted.
The NDP member says whether Canadians actually go to the polls remains to be seen, noting Michael Ignatieff has backed down on similar threats in the past.
