Kenora-Rainy River Conservative MPP Greg Rickford is the point man for the first major piece of legislation being introduced by the Doug Ford government.
Rickford introduced the Urgent Priorities Act Monday in the legislature.
He says among other things it creates the Hydro One Accountability Act.
The Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines and Minister of Indigenous Affairs says the legislation would improve transparency and accountability at Hydro One.
He adds it will help lower electricity bills and address executive compensation.
It also addresses back to work legislation for striking instructors at York University and cancels a wind power project in Prince Edward County.
