Local Program To Help Families Afford Sports And Activities

Making Connections for Children and Youth are ensuring area children don’t miss out on activities they enjoy.

The program provides funding for low income families so they can afford programming and equipment for children sports and activities.

Spokesperson Helena Clark says they have increased the amount people can make and still receive funding.

Clark also says they serve Dryden as well as Ignace, Machin and the surrounding area

Applications can be found in most local service centres around the city including Ontario Works, Dryden Native Friendship Centre, Northwestern Health Unit, Hoshizaki House, Firefly and any children’s resource centre.
