Local Residents Become Canadians

40 people who now call Northwestern Ontario home are finally official
Canadian citizens.
The new Canucks took the oath of citizenship at a special ceremony in
Dryden Tuesday.
Cheryl Esh made the move to Sioux Lookout from Pennsylvania and says
its a proud moment.
Esh says the Nation’s acceptance of different cultures impressed her
the most.
The importance of remembering our veterans and remaining loyal to
Canada were among the messages relayed to the new citizens.
In recognition of Veterans Week, each new citizen received a poppy
quarter and a special veteran’s pin.
