Area Schools were in the middle of the pack in an annual Fraser
Institute report.
The Conservative think-tank graded all Elementary Schools in the
Province based on reading, writing and math tests.
Lakewood Public in Kenora received the highest grade with a 8.8 out of
10 while Sioux Mountain School was at the bottom with a 0.3 mark.
In Dryden, Riverview Public and St. Joseph’s School were both above 5.
All Schools in the District were well behind the top facility which
was located in Toronto.
