New Prospects School has become “iPad friendly”.
Students from kindergarten to grade three will have access to them in the classroom at a 4-1 ratio.
Music teacher Colin Hayashi says it offers so much to the students that aren’t in the traditional textbook.
“It gives them an opportunity to work with something that’s hands on. It’s very visual for them, and there are lots of apps available.”
Hayashi says he will use the iPads to teach music theory and it will help the students learn instruments without having to pick up an actual one.
Hayashi says this allows him to observe and see how the children can teach themselves and each other.
