Local Union President Addresses Teacher Activities

The president of the local high school teachers union is addressing comments about teachers and extracurricular activities.
John Dykes says everything remains at bay.
“At the local and provincial level, there’s no directive that’s been given regarding teachers not participating in extracurricular activities.”
Dykes says that what teachers get involved with activity wise, is their own decision and nothing has changed that.
He was not able to comment on the walk-outs by high school students across the region.
