Recognition for a Fort Frances woman and a district wide safety program.
The regional commander for the Provincial Police has issued a letter of commendation to Betty-Anne Johnson of Kenora-Rainy River District Child and Family Services.
She says it recognizes her role in ‘Project Safe Halloween’ that encourages young people to stay safe while treat or treating.
Although her name is on the letter, Jonson says she is accepting it on behalf of everyone on the committee.
The program, which includes giving glows sticks to youngsters every Halloween, is now in its 11 year.
