Monday’s heavy rainfall has caused 5 forest access roads
north of Kenora to wash out.
The Ministry of Natural Resources is working with
Abitibi Consolidated, and Weyerhaueser to repair them.
Kenora District Emergency Response Officer Leo Heyens
says many resource access roads have been abandoned or do
not receive regular maintenance.
