Dryden officials may have found a way to signal there will be no
by-pass anytime soon.
Council will apply for Connecting Link Funding from the Province with
the #1 priority being expanding Highway 17 to 5 lanes from the old town
limits to Anton Rd.
Public Works Manager Keith Apland says approval of the funding
application would pretty well kill the by-pass idea.

The 5 year plan also calls for the installation of traffic lites near
Wal-Mart as well as major re-construction of Duke St from COlonization to
Earl.
