Water levels on Lac Seul are at their lowest level since 1976 and in some cases 1958.
Fortunately, the Province has not asked the Lake of the Woods Control Board to increase its outflow in the wake of the power crisis.
Senior Engineer Rick Cousins says he knows Southern Ontario is in need of extra energy but they are facing a near crisis situation here as well.
Cousins says the Board will be taking a close look at managing the conditions to limit the impact heading into the Fall.
