Lakehead University is kicking off its 50th anniversary celebrations.
They held a flag raising ceremony at City Hall Monday morning.
President Brian Stevenson says they’ve had a big impact on Northwestern Ontario residents.
On Friday, the University will be opening up it’s campus to the public for it’s winter carnival celebrations that include skating on Lake Tamblyn and a free BBQ.
