LU Professor Believes Canada Will Be Stuck In Middle East

A Lakehead University political science professor believe’s Canada’s involvement in the Middle East will last longer than 6 months.
That’s the timeline outlined by the Harper government when it announced its joining in airstrikes against the Islamic State.
But LU’s Laure Paquette believes it will turn into a long term commitment and Canada will be stuck in Iraq this time next year.
Paquette says she’s concerned Canada is entering a quagmire that we can’t get out of and stresses these situations are never simple.
