LU Professor Reacts To CIA Torture Report

A Lakehead University political science professor thinks it’s good the American government has admitted to using torture to gain information in the War on Terror.
Laure Paquette says it confirms what many had suspected all along.
She believes it’s part of a healing process for the United States saying it’s important the Americans have come out and admitted to a dark period in their history.
Some argue that Osama bin Laden was captured and killed as the result of information gained through the extreme torture techniques, but Paquette says she can’t be sure of that.
