Dryden’s Lynn Beyak is throwing her full support behind the Senate.
The local Senator was appointed in January and says members are hard at work giving a voice to all Canadians.
Beyak says it’s an honoured institution and stresses its important to have a northern voice at the table.
There have been fewer than 1,000 people summonded to the Senate since Confederation, and Beyak says to have someone from Northwestern Ontario sit on it is incredible.
In regards to a call for the proroguation of Parliament, Beyak says it will allow them to look at legislation which is currently on the books and make the right decisions.
