The Ministry of Transportation says it will likely be the Labor Day weekend before it can repair a section of the Trans-Canada Highway west of Kenora.
A long stretch of Highway 17 was damaged by heavy rain earlier this month and has been reduced to a single lane of traffic.
The M.T.O. says its working on a solution to long line-ups.
Staff will be adjusting the signal lights during periods of high traffic to try and keep waiting times to a minimum.
Over the weekend, some people had to wait over an hour to
get through the temporary traffic lights.
