The 68th Annual Kenora District Municipal Association Conference opens Thursday in Vermilion Bay.
President and Machin Mayor Garry Parkes says some high profile speakers will address Municipal Leaders the next 3-days.
NDP Leader Howard Hampton, Art Rob from Ontario Power Generation and Eagle Lake First Nation Chief Pam Pitchenese are among the guest speakers.
Parkes says one issue that will arise is the possibility of freeing up Crown Land for Municipal use
A total of 11-resolutions will be voted on by delegates.
Delegates will also mix work with fun, as organizers are planning dog sled rides and festivities to mark Machin’s 100th Birthday.
