Infrastructure funding is starting to flow to northwestern Ontario municipalities.
Machin is receiving $51,563 in federal funding for the purchase of a new Handi-Transit bus.
The replacement vehicle will improve the reliability of trips from the Vermilion Bay area to Dryden for medical appointments, pharmacy, shopping, visiting, meals and more.
The investment is part of an agreement between Canada and Ontario for public transit which will see the Trudeau Liberals covering 50% of the costs.
