Major Award for Red Lake Resident

A Red Lake native has won a provincial award for her work in helping aboriginal students access post-secondary education.
Belinda Sayeau is the winner of the 2010 Colleges Ontario Award for student achievement.
The graduate of Fanashawe College in London says she feels its her place to work toward bringing aboriginal and non-native communities together.
She has helped mentor and tutor other aboriginal students attending the school.
Sayeau will receive the award next month at a ceremony in Toronto.
